Re: Attitudes. And also x4 Stuff.
You mention one skill required in x4. Missile placement. You seem to completely leave out incredible smart missile dodging. One must have both to consistently win in this environment. The luck factor is miniscule. If 'LUCK' were a larger factor then I would imagine that I wouldn't consistently win in x4 games. cuz luck goes both ways and mine should eventually run out.

And yes...if you can't handle x4 smarts then you are missing essential skills that translate 100% to 'regular' non X matches.
Missile placement and Dodging. 2 skills everyone needs. One's weaknesses in these areas are merely amplified in x4.

I'm going to chime in here.
I had the (dis)pleasure of playing Jedi in Pillbox x4 recently. It was the most fun I had in a long time. His missile placement is superb. I will admit, I do not have the skills necessary to compete with a Jedi in x4 Pillbox. However, I was amazed at my dodging ability in that game. Considering it took Jedi 9 mins to get 20 kills on me, that's 27-28 seconds per kill. This is an amazing amount of time to stay alive. I remember 2 waves of 5 smarts that I successfully avoided, and then he got tired of that, and engaged on the 3rd set of 5. I was doing all I could do to stay alive in that game, but I did manage to force Jedi to suicide 4 times so he could keep his shutout intact. I was doing very little offensively but was having a blast!
Dodging 5 smarts, 5 more smarts, homers, etc in rapid succession forces you to read the missile pattern quickly, formulate a plan and act without hesitation! Not just the ones you see, but the ones that passed you and will be tracking you from behind. Laser focus is what it requires in my opinion.

Yep. Hurts like hell but it does you good
A packed DBox FFA X4 game does similar sorts of things, except that the threats are coming from multiple sources, and realistically, you won't survive everything - but it makes you act fast. If you can survive well in that, you'll have a good foundation in intense 1v1s as well - doesn't teach you to kill stuff (at least not in a way that counts in 1v1, your opponent won't be as distracted) but it does teach you to survive even when you get jumped.

So my comment was deleted. Just to reiterate a portion of that, I said go make a forum thread and blame moh. Just a few comments about this whole situation. If you don't like it, I don't care.
My first post on the match comment was completely legit. I was then personally attacked with specific words. Well I apparently don't live in the same world as you righteous and professional administrators. I retorted to the attack with one of my own. While that wasn't the right thing to do, I still would do it again solely for the purpose of calling the before mentioned person out. Now my reply was deleted but others stayed. If that warranted me losing my posting ability so be it. But be fair and balanced and not completely and blatantly biased. If that were the case Dave should've lost his ability to write a single word by now. Keep your pitch forks aimed at me people. The bad guy. It's okay.
As for toxic, I don't think my original comment was that harmful or out of line. It said what everyone except maybe three or four people thought when they read it. Again I responded with the same immature crap Dave spews on a weekly basis (depending on how many times he loses in a week). If you think I am toxic and still continue to give a pass to complete disregard for sportsmanship then your priorities and line of sight are blurred.
I am not a bad guy. Ever since roncli decided to be a good Boy Scout and send the administration a log from a conversation between souljah and I about the way the ladder is run I've been crucified on pretty much everything I say. So be it. If you want to take that route fine but there ARE people who can see through your stink. If you fought everyone who had something negative to say about the way things are run here on mumble there would hardly be anyone left. Believe me or not, it doesn't matter, but it's the truth.
I know I've been a drunken piece of trash more than a handful of times and that is unfortunate for my cause, but at least I handle myself the majority of the time respectfully. If you want to think differently then fine. However I'm not some child that you can talk down to like you think you can and get away with it. I'm a grown man and if you want to attack me I'll fight back. Sorry.
So go back to your warped reality of right and wrong and keep mingling together and muddying the water until there's no one left. Be my guest.
With all that being said you guys are entitled to do whatever you like and I respect that because I have the utmost respect for what you did to out this thing together. The work and dedication into all the systems that are required to run this ladder are extraordinary and the experience of playing descent on a competitive ladder that reminds most of us of the good old days is something we all can agree should be greeted with nothing but respect and gratitude. That's what I'll leave with and let you all flame away. Thanks for the games.
Regarding LOTHAR - meet me irl. Lol. Just kidding. But remember Drakona and my spat ended in both of admitting fault. Not one sided, not only me sanctioned. Both of us. So to the people saying I was "warned" and all that jazz (including you, you know who you are) you know it's wrong. Even if it were the case I'm removed from making match comments but Dave still sits on his throne. How many "warnings" have been issued? That's what I thought. Good luck bro.

Oh and by the way. If I had responded to the attack with my second post (that was deleted) and said something less harmless like "go cry about some laggy you whiny princess" I would have still been thrown into this pile of shit. You were just waiting for a reason LOTHAR. Don't act like you weren't. If you felt a little self conscious about the "people have their head up your ass comment" then I apologize. I knew that one would break your back. Deuces.

Hi guys. My name is Mark392, or Cameron Little. I just wanted to let you all know, in all seriousness (yes, I like to be funny a lot of the time, but serious is what I am right now) I love you all. I'm here for you all (if you need me call me, no matter where you are, no matter how far, oh oh darlin'!), and, really, I'd love it if we could all just get along. I know that's not reality all the time, but we can all choose to do it! That's my vote!
*Seriousness OVER*
Now to address the elephant in the room: Melvin. (not a size joke)
Melvin, I NEVER post something underhandedly, overly nice, snidely sneaky in my match comments! I only later look back and see that it could appear as such... <.< >.>
And you thought I wouldn't notice you not capitalizing "mark", like it's not a name! The moniker of "Mark392" has feelings you know! I see how it is. I'm taking my toys and leaving! Granted, I didn't bring any toys, but... POINT MADE!
