IDL UT also had a habit of holding people back for political reasons -- "he quit instead of retiring last time, so we're punishing him". It wasn't even remotely fair to the LT. At one point I was #4 LT, behind Daz, kufyit, and Manson, who all had winning UT records and were former UT. "I'd really like to be #1 LT" "go beat Daz, then" "beating Daz should be worth an exhibition win, not #1 LT." "Well, too bad, you have to beat Daz for #1 LT." That, along with the skunk incident, is what made me give up on IDL.

That's part of why we made this system automatic. If you put up gold scores it makes you gold. If you start putting up silver scores, it sends you back to silver. You never get stuck in the wrong tier over attitude or politics -- and you always get credit for what your opponent legitimately is, not what somebody has inappropriately declared them to be.

Congrats to my friend Zero, He's always been a great player and he's made gold quite quickly. Good job man
