Okay -- 1 day left, and he's beaten this thing about as hard as it can be beaten, and can only play on weekends.

Option 1 - close it, he passes
Option 2 - extend it through the end of next weekend for fun

Looks like bringing in silver won't be necessary, fun as that would have been.

morf's call. i would understand wanting to do either, there are braggin rights to be had by having it closed after only 3 matches, but there's honor (and possibly even bigger braggin rights) to be had completing it.

Why doesn't it automatically close when you get the guarantee passing score? Everything on the ladder should be automated.

Yeah, I've thought about automatically closing them when they're decided, but sometimes people want to finish them out. I don't want to make a rule until we understand what the right rule is to make -- which it sounds like is going to be, "let the pilot choose to close it if he wants."

I would say if people are signed up we let it play out to see what their 'true score' was at the end of it all.

However, if the pilot has met the score needed to get in and no one else is signed up, we should just end it upon the expiration date.
