I know demos are usually posted for 1v1s but i thought this might interest some people.
Me, bahamut, behemoth, and birdseye were in a ugh game, it was the most fun I've had in awhile in a descent game so I thought I'd post the demo for you guys. Maybe you can catch on to some fusion tricks
It's through my perspective, maybe others can post their povs. And bahamut disappears midway like a weirdo as always
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dwd4w6p3qhvcc ... 4.dem?dl=0its 45 mins long, props to anyone who watches the whole thing.

If you like to nix the plinky weapons, I strongly suggest Forte. It's great for taking away crutches. I played Mark392 in there once and wasn't really sure what to do.

There's always been a bit of a wrestling match between different types of tactics in Descent -- between tactics like holding a particular area (be it a dogfight room or a tunnel), assaulting that area and disengaging, assaulting that area and forcing your opponent out, hoarding or spamming missiles, and so on. Cases, IDL, UDL, DCL, and most clan ladders all had players who preferred different tactics, weapons, etc.
Some players have traditionally handled that wrestling match by selecting levels that strongly favor certain tactics and complaining on the forums that they don't like others' tactics. Others handle that wrestling match by playing in levels where multiple tactics are viable, and imposing their will on their opponent. We designed DCL to cater to that second approach -- learn the tactics and learn how to counter them, because they're all viable to a moderate degree in each of the core levels, and core levels come from how much a level is played, not how much people talk about it on the forums. If you don't like high missile counts, aside from Athena (16 homers), every other current core level has 5 or fewer homers, 5 or fewer smarts, and 8 or fewer concs -- small enough counts that you can (and Mark392 sometimes will) gather up all of the missiles and simply hold them. If you don't like vulcan, all of the core levels have exactly 2, so keep one on your ship and make your opponent pay to get the other one. And ultimately, you only have to play core levels for promotions and official challenges, which are restricted -- so you can't be bullied into playing Logic 32 times a week, or Wrath x4 ever (unless you hold the x4 trophy.) You can always choose to ask people for levels you prefer, and favor opponents who like the same game style you do.

Meanwhile I'm just sitting here sad that no one will play me in Contessa.

I always thought Contessa was some kind of food company.
