I know that what I have to say isn't going to get much traction but I'm here just renting my opinion/suggestion there for here it goes. (I'm a GOAT)

When it comes to skill ratings in bronze to silver to gold, that works. It is a necessary implementation.

I only suggest from gold to diamond there be a different system.
Jedi and 392 ain't gunna drop ever. They are GOATS too.

Can we make a challenge to diamond request? Like I click a button, and challenge into diamond. Weather it be by score or votes, or both, I think it should be an option.

There are 2 diamond pilots. 1 game per season between them. I think it's time for a change.

For instance if I were selected in to diamond for a while, but couldn't hold consistent scores, or lost to gold a bunch, sure demotion automatic.
I'm holding 15s 18s wins on diamond daily. I think that deserves a diamond recommendation until proven otherwise.

It would add more competition to the ladder.

Jedi wouldn't have such a big head

But mostly it would give gold more of a chance to have something to grasp.

Again, Diamond isn't about how closely you can hold a score to other Diamond players. It's about just how much you don't belong in GOLD.

Now, some of what you are describing could add some 'fun' to the ladder but it isn't appropriate for actually 'making' it into Diamond.

JEDI -think we should be GOLD with a diamond or invuln orb achievement/designation of some kind.

If us being gold knocks some gold into silver....Fight harder to get back to gold.

RETHINK - you obviously have some kind of opinion, which is good, I just think restructuring should be in play. To be determined.

Hey, I'll be the first to tell you that being in a 2 person tier with the likes of Mark392 is less than ideal.

I am personally open to the idea of keeping the current requirements to make Diamond but change it to 'earning the invlun orb' and have a separate set of requirements for making the Diamond tier.

All that it means to be Diamond would be shifted to whether or not you have earned the Invuln Orb of Mastery or whatever naming nonsense we come up with.

Can any of you come up with a detailed description/requirements for making the new Diamond?
Making "Master Class" (old Diamond) is already set.

At this point this discussion is just for $hits and giggles but hopefully something viable can come from it.

Ok, taking this seriously. Here is my suggestion:

Eliminate Diamond as we know it. The history will remain but the Diamond tier gets abolished.

Currently the way you move from one tier to another is based on 2 things. A skill rating and a challenge system. We are all fans of this.

So, with Diamond tier gone a 'new' tier emerges so as to not cause any confusion between what it 'meant' to be Diamond vs what it now means to be Platinum (just a suggestion based on metals being used for the other tier names).

((Diamond will still 'exist' but not as a tier and the requirements will remain THE SAME except there is no 'challenge' to obtain "Master Class" with whatever icon we decide to show next to the pilots name as designation)) So, to make Master Class you have to have Gold Dominance above 90% and a Skill Rating above 24.

To make Platinum Tier you simply need to have a skill rating above 24 AND pass a challenge to make it in. Now, here is where we could choose to make it a little different. The challenge to get into Platinum could be something more than what it takes to make Gold. Platinum Tier should be and likely will remain small as few ppl ever get above 24 and fewer still are capable of staying there. So perhaps to make Platinum Tier the challenge is a vendetta vs each Platinum pilot. We can figure out the details of that challenge later (for instance: my home, your home, random or 3 random cores or 2 random cores and 1 random extended core)

What do you guys think? Hopefully this made sense. I quickly typed this between customers at work.

Like I said. If you're over 66% gold wins, then you should have the option to challenge into "platinum" (I like that better). Vendetta? Or expected score? But 2 players can't determine advancement challenge that's exactly why you are allowed diamonds 2 participate in Gold challenge games. So suggestions welcomed everyone

Just to address one of the misconceptions Tommy: we have one match *THIS* season against eachother. Check the history, bruh, since diamond inception we’ve played 50 matches against eachother. Lol (will talk on voice about all of this more with you later on)
