Posted: Thu Sep 27, 2018 12:11 pmYeah, we really need to have an off-season obs episode for just miscellaneous matches like this. We've been talking about it for ages.
Let's plan one in October. Let's figure out what matches that we want to air and when to do it (I suggest Sat 10/13 at the normal 5 PM Eastern slot, but am open for moving a one-off show around). They don't have to be live, either, I'd be glad to pre-record matches, especially for pilots that typically can't make the event time, whenever we plan it for.
We don't have to do just matches, either... there have been a lot of ideas in other threads that I don't think we'd be able to keep up with in a regular series, but would certainly fit an Observatory "variety" show. Maybe we do this idea, and then someone puts together one of those demo videos that's being talked about in another thread, and we air a match that gets played earlier in the week. We also used to do rotating co-hosts... with Birdseye doing most of the season commentary with me, maybe there are other people interested in commentary for these variety-style episodes.
