Here is what I have calculated as it relates to STOCK matches played vs X's matches played.

This is just for Jedi:

Wins in STOCK NON Xs Maps 2497 – 122 Losses (95% win ratio) (2619 total games played)

Wins in Xs Maps 1759 – 109 losses (94% win ratio) (1868 total games played)

So, nearly identical. I don't 'NEED' Xs to win. eat it!

High Xs/High Missiles Matches (excluding most x2's (but not Athenax2) and most X3s (lookin at u vamped x3 etc)

Are you X matches evenly spread out across tiers and if not what do these stats look like vs Gold tier only? If you play like 80% of your X matches vs gold pilots all your easy "regular" wins vs silver and bronze would kinda skew the statistics:P

I had to run these manually. Took dome time. If you want to run the stats go for it. I'd like to see that too. Also, this only takes in to account wins and losses and not the average score in stock vs Xs. I'd be curious about that one too.

Jediluke's 2 most played levels are Logic and Logicx2, and he's +1.7 vs expectation in both -- in other words, equally dangerous in both.

there might be specific levels where Jeds is better with x's than without, but there's not a particularly extreme pattern.

The notion that jeds isnt better relative to his competition with x's than without is generally nutso. all other things being equal, jeds will almost always produce a better result with X's. ALL OTHER THINGS BEING EQUAL.

there's a reason he picks x5 for all his obs matches. there are exceptions to the rule. he's weak in lurk x2 for some reason. logic in any flavor he's always 5 steps ahead of you, even stock logic. but the rule is he's better in X's. he feels more comfortable in X's. If he had to win one game vs mark392 to save his family, it would be an X's game. jeds, do you disagree with anything I've said?

obviously, the lebron jordan of descent doesn't need X's to win (birds and mark can fight over who gets to be michael james) but obviously X's was one of his modern competitive cornerstones before he started polishing his game with fusion, etc.

I do have great comfort in small spaces filled with smart missiles. I am well practiced in smart missile placement and smart missile dodging....two things you had better excel at if you are going to step into the x5 arena.

Yes, I would choose an x5 level vs Mark392 as I would choose vs anyone mainly because I believe that no one is as well versed in the nuances of x5 as I am. I believe that no one else is as comfortable as I am in the chaos of x5. (except for un-rusted Drakona)

Do I win more games in Xs than in stock? Clearly not as the stats show it's nearly identical.

Some people like to assume that X5 is a game of luck and that all I do is hold down the 2ndary button shooting randomly. I believe that I've made a strong mathematical argument against it being luck with my match history in X5. Both pilots have access to the same amount of smart missiles. If it were luck then I should lose about as many as I win in those circumstances. The only real difference is in what a pilot can do with them and against them....that is what determines who will win the game.
