Retirement

I hold the record for most retirements as well as shortest retirements! Few will likely ever catch up to me in that stat!
I will admit that I have no intention of actually quitting Descent. I will continue to play Descent frequently likely. I will compete in the OBS tournaments.
I do feel that it is time to step away from the DCL though. I have accomplished much in my time here and I certainly stayed way too long after many others walked away.
I'm gonna toot my own horn a little and show the top 5 stats from each category in the Hall of Fame History section because damnit I put the time and the effort in!!

More than 100 consecutive GOLD wins in a row is something I'm proud of....and to have done it twice!?! Well, I don't feel like trying to do it again.. It takes a lot of effort.
One of the greatest streaks ever was 50 something back in the day. If you take the number of GOLD wins I had in a row from the top 10 list and divide them by 50 that means I had a streak of 50 about 10.64 times. Not once. Not twice. More than 10 times. I'll take it. Proud of that.
I've had a lot of fun on the OBS tournaments as well. Good old fashioned MY HOME vs YOUR HOME standoffs. There were some great matches in there! Some nice wins vs Mark392. Some tough matches vs Bahamut and Zero. I'm gonna continue to compete in those for a while. I don't know the stats of the OBS stuff like Roncli would but I think I've won all of the seasons except for maybe 1 or 2?? Roncli?
Anyhow, more enjoyable than the wins and the records were the friendships that carried over into 'real life' Heck I even got a Descent love-child named after me!! What!?!?! Greatest Descent/Freindship accomplishment of all time! Top that!
