Long ago, a descent proto god coined the motto "Share the knowledge, compete on the execution." I love this idea, and in that spirit, i was wondering if yinz guys ever experimented with mouse pointer speed in windows settings? If you havent, you should. Especially if yours is set high, you probs wanna bring it down a notch. It is not subtle, I think it's probably as important as the in game sensitivity settings.
What "secret" tweaks do you consider essential?

I use default windows setting and basically tweak nothing so this thread might prove interesting.

default sensitivity on w10 with an 800dpi mouse, 3 ticks from the right in-game. about as much pointing your ship as you can get in the game and a tiny bit of swooshyness so it doesn't get some weird turning stuff, especially when rolling.

I'm in the middle (default). Everyone should be on win10/retro. Your windows sens is a crap imitation of your mouse software. The mouse software is so good now, you should be able to just dial there and in game. It used to be you had to crank the win sens to max just to get the sens you need, but now we can get all the sens we need and its easy to get too much sens now.
Also make sure 'use precision pointer' is off.

One click from the left in game sensitivity, I also use mouse software for the current mouse I'm using. normally 3-4 clicks sens in that software, and 125-250hz polling rate
EDIT:
you have to discipline your mouse arm, that's why mouseaccel is a decent way to train to minimize hand/arm movement, but also delivering the most potential per move.
Practice Practice Practice is the only way to get into Carnegie hall. or that's How I think that went?
uhh sorry if it doesn't make sense, git gud
