I took my Pyro into the shop today for an annual checkup, and had them install a new joystick. Hat-switch is now operating at 100%. Took it for a test flight and it purr's like a kitten & fly's like a dream. It's now washed, waxed and polished, just sitting in my hangar waiting for action.
I might just be a little more dangerous.

It also has this cool feature called "Smart Missile Magnet". Very handy if you ask me

Well, the only thing wrong with my new joystick (well, new to me; purchased in very good condition from Amazon) is the button I use to fire flares sticks sometimes and doesn't fire immediately. But I don't think that will be a problem. I've played hundreds of Descent games, in 1 and 3, and I can honestly say I've never heard anyone say "Aw man! I shoulda made that kill! Arrrghh! My flares wouldn't fire! The darn button stuck! Arrrgh!"
I just might be hindered from decorating someone like a christmas tree... darn

Everything else works like new though

It'll upset you the most when you're angry and want to flare someone after your kill and CAN'T.

Most important button, fix plz.
