Re: Spring 2015 Props
Did I kill a thread I never even posted on?
I immensely enjoyed my D3 matches with Roncli. And I think they were harmless. I do, however, very much regret playing Rethink in D3. If I knew that those matches would lead to Rethink being demoted and ultimately retiring from the DCL, I wouldn't have played him. I would take those matches back in a heartbeat if I could.

You are a competitor. Never regret playing a match well.

The other thing to remember is that nobody ever gets demoted because of just one match. That's not how the algorithm works.
Sometimes people have a long stretch of underperforming that you don't notice -- they beat people 20-10 when they should be beating them 20-6, or they lose 20-13 when they should be losing 20-17 -- and then one surprising game right at the end of that stretch happens to coincide with the demotion.
Look at me last season. At the LAN I was competitive with DKH, LoNi, and Sirius. Held Bronze pilots to like 3's and 4's. After the LAN I gave up a lot more 7s and 8s to bronze, and only put up more than 13 in a single gold match vs moh, and had a bunch of close silver matches. You might blame the 20-6 loss to Drakona for the demotion, but it was really about a long string of less-than-gold scores.
