Temporary retirement needed

You may or may not know that I came back to this game as a result of having a massive heart attack which lead to extended bed rest from a quadruple bypass last July. The meds I have been forced to take are designed to keep my heart rate down and help me heal but they leave me quite lethargic physically and mentally. I know I am a better pilot than my results are showing and I have tried to just force my way up the ladder by totally immersing myself in it but I realize I am not consistent and the added frustration of slow reaction time is maddening.
Anyway to shorten this, I had a dr appointment yesterday and the doctor says that the constant adrenaline rush that Descent (video games) brings is not good for my heart right now so I need to take some time off from competition and try to basically chill until I'm done with these meds. This was a hard decision to make and I will be back but right now my health is more important.
