My Recent Haitus

Hey everybody. I've been a bit scant for the past couple weeks and just wanted to give a little explanation as to why I've taken a bit of a hiatus. As some of you know, I am a stickmouser, so I fly with a joystick in the left hand to control sliding and roll. I fly with an old Precision Pro, and as any of you know that have used one, they are molded specifically for the right hand. Using it in the left is a bit awkward because the ridge that is supposed to hold the side of your right hand digs into your palm. Annoying, but not a dealbreaker. Or at least I thought.
A few weeks ago I started waking up with my middle finger locked into a contracted position. I figured it would go away, but turns out it hasn't. It pops every time I move it, and I've lost a little strength in that finger. Went to the Drs to get it checked on and it turns out I have trigger finger... :/ That means the ligament that contracts the finger has fouled up in some way and won't move through the joint smoothly. The ridge that runs around the outside of the stick sits squarely on the ligament that is awry, and grinding it against that ligament finally caused it to swell and not move flush like it should.
So, needless to say, I will be sitting out until my finger loosens back up (otherwise I will have to get steroid shots straight into the joint, which I think sounds like a WONDERFUL time X( ). Anyways, I haven't died, I'm just pinin for the fjords till I'm good to go. I'll be back before you know it!
