Is this how every match has to play out on average for someone aspiring to be diamond:

Get 15 kills on a diamond player

Hold Gold pilots to 10 kills or less

Hold Silver pilots to 5 kills or less

Hold Bronze pilots to 0 kills or less

0 for Bronze? I hope not. I'd hate to see a gold or diamond pilot suiciding against bronze pilots...

Committing a suicide counts as a kill for both of you. So, if you committed suicide and it was 20-11, the ladder would recognize it as 21-12. Doesn't really help when trying to achieve those numbers.

Probably best to worry about the dominance factor first, since it is public and easily calculated, and getting that up over 85% is very hard to do. Getting the skill rating is almost certainly easier, and very, very likely to have already happened by the time you pass the dominance threshold.

That said, if you want targets, I would shoot for: diamond 18-20, gold 20-15, silver 20-9, bronze 20-4, against the toughest pilots in each class.

Do we have a blurb somewhere about what dominance means and how to improve it?

It's a win ratio over 50 matches, except contributions from individual pilots and individual levels are capped. Staring at the table for long enough should make the meaning relatively straightforward.
