Why I'm taking a break from descent

I'm too relaxed!
I'm no longer at university, and no longer have continual pressure on me. As a result, when I sit down to play descent single player I go:
"Why am I shooting the bots?"
"Man that part of the map looks awesome!"
And when I play multiplayer my brain simply does not operate at sufficient speed, it disengages from the frantic whirling lights leaving me unable to think tactically, flying purely on rapidly dimishing muscle memory as my brain refuses to engage to critique my performance.
I'll be back when I'm under more pressure and need a way to relax!
I still love the 6DOF genre, and am not looking for exploration/peaceful games in 6DOF. If you know of any, please tell me (otherwise I'll )
If anyone wants to fly slowly around Hawkbucks Lair in D2, let me know. It's an amazing and huge level.
