DCL core levels - Early 2017

Hey, I was just wondering whether the core levels were set to change for this season? I've seen the level stats on the DCL site for the Late 2016 season (its not the complete list, of course) and was curious, though this is by no means a hurry-up :). Thanks.

Summary:

definitely in core - Logic, Crimson, Ascend, Flea, Lurk, Mindtrix, Athena, Salute, Vamped

marginal core, need to discuss - Audacity (top 10 in 3 categories, 1 point away in the unique players category)

definitely in extended core - (Audacity if not in core), fuzed, wrath, take2, ugh, rip, savage, killbox, nysa, black rose

marginal extended core, need to discuss - anarctic, nocturnal (each top 20 in 3 categories, and 1 point away in the fourth)

Last season:

Core - Logic, Flea, Lurk, Mindtrix, Ascend, Crimson, Athena, Vamped, Fuzed, Salute
Extended - Wrath, Nysa, Black Rose, Forte, RIP, Neptune, Wyndham, Savage, Ugh, and Take2

we lose Fuzed from the core, and possibly replace it with audacity.

we also lose Forte, Neptune, and Wyndham from the extended core, replacing them with killbox, and possibly anarctic and nocturnal.

Time for debate/discussion over the marginal levels. Personally I think "missed by 1 in 1 category" is close enough to put all three of Audacity, Anarctic, and Nocturnal in their respective lists.

love replacing forte, neptune and wyndham with killbox, anarctic and noct. id be partial to keeping windh and losing killbox, not sure KB fits as a competitive descent 1v1 lvl, stats be damned.

I don't have an opinion on Audacity. However, I don't think there needs to be any discussion on Extended Core, just put it in. It's *EXTENDED* core for a reason. :)

I'll go ahead and update the random level generator now to removed Fuzed and add Audacity, so as not to affect any more of the season than necessary. I can always change it if there's some sort of massive groundswell of hate for Audacity.

Wait Audacity is in the main core level list. Looks like I will not be using that random level generator anymore.

In keeping with my habit of demonstrating versatility, I will choose a new home, one I've never used before.

S15 - Io
(12-8, +2.1)

L15 - Take2
(17-3, +0.6)

E16 - Lurk
(28-10, +0.8)

M16 - RIP, but I was barely around due to my internship
(5-1, +0.9)

L16 - RIP, and damned finely, if I do say so myself
(7-0, +4.3)

E17 - Audacity
(Lifetime 14-6, +2.3)
(Haven't lost there since Vainiac cleaned my kettle in M16)
(Please let me have this one, Jedi. I don't ask for much.)
