Re: all ships blue
Uhhh, actually, I'm still active(ish), Birds... And I've been flying with Jeds since everyone was new, I just wasn't Mark392 until sometime in late '98 or early '99 and before then flew under one of maybe 100 or more random nicknames lol. Granted, y'all knew who eachother were before my name was ever recognizable as a single nickname... So, there's that

Mark began playing Descent in the womb. He fashioned a mouse from a piece of placenta, reattached it to the umbilical cord (you know, because "wired" is better), and he was #1 on Case's before he was even born.
Oh, I forgot to mention he's also a time-traveler. Love ya, bud.

Oh my. Dj, you always drop in at the most unexpected times to own me with your epic fairy-tales... You make me laugh... HARD! Love ya too, brother! You're also far too kind to me. I have to believe you're recounting you or Jedi's exploits, while utilizing my name as a cover.
Birds: My dad got the demo of D as soon as it was available, so that would have put me at around 8 or 9 when I started flying. I remember flying against almost everyone from Kiln, Dr. Don, dOggY, Satan, Arch, Warlord, Lardass, VaiN, Descentile, Jedi, you, Realm, Karash, Sirian, Baywatch, EgaD, ENDER, Diablo (original, not Rethink), Master (first one that was only around for a year at the beginning before KrazyK and Master came on the scene), Bishop, Sin, Buef, TxCowboy (I know I'm spanning names from many eras, just the ones from the top of my head while on lunch break, haha)--and the list goes on and on--back when Kali was hopping and Kahn was a big thing. I was online mostly as a random name almost every time due to the fact that, originally, I was watching my dad (Kamakaze/Bigguy were his Kali handles) and then sharing the second Kali account with my brothers (One younger one older), but we couldn't play when dad was playing due to using a proxy program to get internet on the "kid's" computer. So, when dad wasn't playing, the three of us took our turns and, most of the time, when it was my turn the nickname I had been using previously on Kali was taken. One of the nicknames I use as a pilot nick right now is Neo, and that was one I used back then by accidentally forgetting to put the "N" on the end of "neon". It was one I seemed to be able to use at least 3 or 4 times for a long stretch of games. Not sure as a young kid why "neon" was a name I thought would be cool... Perhaps I just thought I'd be the only one using it (But ending up with Neo was much better). I also remember that people thought Thrasher3:16 was myself returning with a new nickname for a while because I had used variations of the word "TrashR" and "ThrashR", etc. After I took up the handle of Mark392 (which is a long story how I got that nickname, but I'll regail it in Mumble sometime in the near future) I saw many of the varied nicknames and variations of the same nicknames being used by others, however, my dad finally let me get my own Kali account and I stood on my Mark392 (which I do actually say as Mark Thirty-Nine Two) and never let it go. I was super quiet as a kid on all internet channels used for Descent gaming. Usually I would just hop in with whoever was starting the game up, not really talk in game either, never touch a macro, play until my time was up and then leave without a word. Often times, the only time I spoke was to greet one of the "new players", such as Findail, Alfa and Humle (a couple I specificly remember saying hi to when they first came around).
So, that's a super abbreviated version of some of my history of Descent as I eat a little bit over a quick lunch break at work! Ill try to get into mumble more now that life should be settling back into a bit of a more predictable pattern as the second week of school started today!

Mark Thirty-Nine Two will attempt to speak in this, "third person" more often. Mark Thirty-Nine two isn't exactly sure what, "third person is", though. Mark Thirty-Nine Two wonders if that means Mark Thirty-Nine Two can only speak with 3 or more people present at a time? Mark Thirty-Nine Two may not like that...
