Being someone who has had a fair amount of match comments that were made out of situational rage, and accidental statements, I would really appreciate some way to change a match comment.
I really dislike asking a moderator to change it, and most of the time change my mind because of the trouble.
This is something I've really wanted a long time on the ladder and because of a recent incident because of misunderstanding I realize how this is something that the community needs.
I hope It's not too much to ask for, but I would love to have the option at least.
Glowing Regards.

On a serious note, I dont want this being tainted by jokes.
I'd really like to hear a legitimate response to this.

We don't need it, it's too much to ask for. Don't be an asshole in your match comments, type GG and move on. FFS, if you need to clarify or apologize, make another match comment, which is a functionality thing that exists in the ladder already and doesnt require anyone to do any work. Otherwise I say live with your shitty match comments and maybe learn that match comments are forever so (all together now) type GG and move on.

AND DONT ASK AGAIN

Alright man, I literally asked a question I dont need a slap back to understand your opinion.
All my Comments I've made before I've accepted, even if I wanted to change it the damage is done, I respect and understand that.
But there are times where I would really like to change the primary comment instead of tagging it with a comment. It leaves a good impression without having to use curiosity. Although YOU may not care about what the comment is, I DO.
Sure, we may not NEED this, but for someone like me who is tedious in my own time, I would really appreciate this.
And regarding the "Type GG and move on." Sometimes people get out of hand say something they regret and would like to erase it. Sure, they have to face the consequences, but for others who aren't aware of the situation ignoring changing or erasing it, is juts beating a dead horse.
I ASKED AGAIN BECAUSE I SEE USE.
Regardless, what harm do you have with it being added? Why are you even opposing this? Seriously, all this does is add power, im genuinely confused as to why you're opposed to this idea, all it does it empower you.

Alright so you deserve real reasons, but it's hard to resist high handing you with the dad stuff. Thanks Birds.
Anyway, for me they boil down to "too much work for little or no benefit"
1- It's too much work. Seriously tho if Drak is just sitting around thinking to herself "Besides my husband, two kids, full time job, martial arts training and my smoker full of locally grown grass fed brisket, i have nothing to do. Maybe i should add some functionality to the ladder to change a thing that to my memory has never caused any significant problems" then I'm fine with it if everyone else is. But you want to make work for someone when you could just do the work yourself and not submit shitty match comments. Just do the work yourself: type GG and move on.
2- It would be a worse ladder. I prefer the immutable variety of match comments because it forces people to be nice(r) because they have to live with what they wrote. If we could edit match comments then people would be less likely to censor their unsportsmanlike feelings. The quality of the match comments and the level of sportsmanship would go down IMO. And don't forget, editting a comment doesn't erase it. At least two people will remember that original draft forever.

Is it really that work? Considering that the DEVS already have the ability, is it that hard to port it to public profile?
And people being nicer is worse?
What?
