Guys, since we often have a hard time remembering cool things deserving of props as the season gets long in the tooth we are giong to post this sticky so that as things occur you can nominate people for a prop.

PROPS will not be awarded until the end of a season...same rules apply...but you can start nominating as you see fit in this thread.

Speaking of which, we probably should throw in something for the first bronze-to-gold ascent on record as well.

Really? No one's ever done that? I knew it was the fastest, but didn't know it was the first.

Well, Moh would be one more, but he didn't really stick around and prove gold, and that was back when you kind of had to. I can't think of anyone else it would even be technically true of, though Lotharbot and I have both had close brushes with demotion to bronze. And there have been bronze pilots who made silver, who I thought might go the distance, but they didn't really play it out. Or it's still playing out.

Cyrus is the only one I can think of that I would count as an accomplished, true two tier ascension. Very cool.

Yeah, it's a bit different for people who were only Bronze for a couple matches, or even pilots that get placed directly into silver.

I think the one thing we can all agree on is that what makes Cyrus really really distinctive is that at one point he was abjectly awful. I mean just horrible. The worst. He's come a long way, but let's not kid ourselves, there are parts of him that are still pretty terrible. His fusion, his dogfighting, his hygiene all leave much to be desired.
