I think the change of the Diamon colour from sparkly eye-stab to white is a good choice, but I think the white is a bit too bright. Maybe tone it down just slightly.

White and the 'silver' are still kinda close in color....we want to make sure they are obviously different.

The white is going to get an animated glint as well

Wouldnt platinum be a better choice over diamond?

I still call it platinum most of the time

I know League of Legends goes Bronze -> Silver -> Gold -> Platinum -> Diamond. I personally prefer Diamond being the top tier myself.

I think Starcraft 2 did the same thing. Although there was a "Master" and "Grandmaster" tier above those, actually... and the difference between tiers I don't think was as large as it is in Descent.
