New GOLD

I know you catch a lot of hell from players (myself included). You are the new favorite pilot to root against. Somehow, you have managed to dethrone me.
Perhaps there is some jealousy involved (whether pilots want to admit it or not). Most toil a very long time trying to improve....trying to scrape a win against low hanging fruit in bottom GOLD...etc (still no easy task).
Your journey has not felt like a long arduous trial by fire to achieve GOLD. You came on to the scene and you sucked at the apporpiate level for an old schooler returning but you quickly turned that around. You did this through a tremendous amount of activity and drive. You chose to have your ass handed to you over and over and over by pilots that were above your skill grade. No better way to learn imo.
You learned. You excelled.
Your attitude has been REALLY good. Part of me wishes I could sacrafice some skill for a better attitude but then again I don't think that's in my DNA. I did my best to help build you up only to sometimes try to tear you down. I apologize for you having to put up with the JediHulk but you have handled it gracefully.
I, and others, have given you hell about your vulcan whore prowess. I told you that people, myself included, would do so...but like I said...when we are bitching about it...tremendously...and MEANING IT...the bottom line is....we are only doing it because it is highly effective and we haven't figured out a way to neutralize it. It's our problem. Your problem is when you are using it as a crutch which is impeding your ability to get even better than you currently are which I proved in your home level minus vulcan. You know what you need to fix and I'm sure you'll make the effort.
I've been asked, "Jedi, you hate losing so much...why would you train someone to possibly beat you?" I laugh it off and say I'm a glutten for punishment but the bottom line is... What fun is it to try to be the best at a game that doesn't provide you the threat of losing and being knocked off your high horse? It's a love/hate relationship and I love to hate you Cyrus and I hate to love you.
I am TERRIBLE at giving compliments. You know this. I'm fairly adept at insults as you may have heard first hand...but know this... I AM proud of your accomplishments. You have EARNED GOLD. The struggle is not over. You are not at the highest skill level attainable yet and though I will continue to help you improve (to MY detriment)...at the same time...I plan on making your attainment of top GOLD or even DIAMOND a real bitch to accomplish! I'm sure you'd have it no other way.
Welcome to the hell that is bottom GOLD. We will all try to tear you back down into silver now. Enjoy the struggle. No excuses.
