Forfeited game solutions?
So me and another player were discussing the other day about how there are times when people forfeit matches without mutual consent.
I think this is a bit of a problem, even though this ladder is meant to be a bit more lighthearted than other ladders before it i think structure and rules should be abided by.
Does anyone have any suggestions for restitution for the players who've played and been forfeited on when they were winning? or a way to discipline players who leave without mutual consent?
This is an important issue, please stay on topic.

Rules: Section 23 Subsection B Paragraph 7 states:
This is a key difference from IDL! On IDL, a pilot was allowed to submit a "forfeit" by raising the other pilot's score to 20. DCL does not allow this. On DCL, every kill matters to the rating algorithm, so it is never acceptable to submit or verify an incomplete match or an incorrect score.
Intentionally rage quitting is always unacceptable, and can be expected to result in a suspension. Respect the game and play it through.

Perhaps we should have a formal complaint area of the page where people can upload a demo privately to be viewed by the admins so they can review the material and see and decide what disciplinary course of action can be taken?

We do have one of those! Email.
Forfeits are against the rules. Rage quits are very against the rules. If someone has left a match in progress with you, you're within your rights to insist that it continue from the current score at the earliest available opportunity. Stuff comes up sometimes and we all understand that, but if it looks like a straight up rage quit or if you can't get it worked out agreeably in pretty short order, complain to an admin. We don't need to invent a way to discipline players who just leave matches -- it's in the rules. They get suspended. Probably for a very long time. It is a serious offense.

The fact that you're not even allowed to report a forfeit seems to be one of those things that often takes old-schoolers by surprise. But there is no good way to allow them, so... somehow we have to make sure people know that the ladder doesn't work that way.
Potential trolly solution: A "forfeit" checkbox in the report page that just says "NOPE! CHUCK TESTA" when you click it.

"Every point matters" except for the small oversight wherein if someone is winning and then throws the match, the person who is losing can't quit. If a game should've been 20-15 but the person who won threw a couple of kills and made it end 20-18, clearly betraying the spirit of the rules, then what's supposed to happen?

just be like me and never say things like BS in a game or complain about lag! This game is just super fun and I always appreciate when someone shows me how skilled they are! Winning isn't everything you know! I just play to appreciate how good my opponents are and I take every chance I get to let them know when I'm impressed.

This is true. When Jediluke lets Bronze pilots get 10 or more on him, he's definitely filled with happiness for how well people are doing.
