Re: An idea..
I'm actually surprised that there have been fewer D3 matches this season than D2 matches. But the stats don't lie.
Speaking of which, guess I should start looking for Rethink and Bubble for D2 matches at some point, I know they're pretty darn good at it. The Gauss thing has a bit less depth than most of the games I play but it's still a nice change of pace.

So the in/out for me with a new trophy is basically if there are enough players playing it that being good at that game is a "thing" that people recognize. Like, off the top of my head, maybe about 5 or 6 pilots who care, the occasional public nod to "Yeah, that guy is the best in X", that sort of thing? I say this a lot, but most of the awards and stuff on DCL are there to recognize what the community already respects. The pilots know what they think is good game, and that's the most important thing. And yeah, we don't always get rid of old stuff when it goes defunct, and some of the stuff we launched with or added doesn't *still* meet that standard. We change slow, intentionally.
Anyway. Yeah, if D3 developed a subculture around here, it'd be pretty reasonable to ask for a trophy for it. It's nowhere close to that point at the moment, though. I'd be looking for a handful of pilots who play it somewhat consistently, and right now it doesn't even have a handful of games.

That's not a problem, The games are easy to be had, It's just in the past it has seemed like most players were too afraid to venture into d3 territory and wouldn't play. Nowadays i see more players that are doing D3 which is the main reason why i asked if that'd be cool.

Okay, on this note - is there a how-to anywhere on getting D3 up and running on a new machine? I pretty much skipped D2, and might not have much time to play this month... but I'd like to get it installed and try out my new stick in it =)
