b2af
(According To His Opponents)
You are what got me on this ladder. Without you, I wouldn't be here, for that... Thank you. Although you are my Cousin, you are my DCL rival. I respect you as a pilot because you emit light in the darkest of activity. You represent the modern era in your own respective skill. You are the modern Jedi. I'm lucky that we're related, our games will live longer than all ladders, all leagues. I can't wait for what the future holds. The many moments in matches and even the road trips we had to and from LAN will always be remembered. I cherish all moments with you. Thank you B2! Thank you for being you!

You've always been a competitor of competitors. A friend of friends. Continue to be the amazing man that you are--I look forward to the future, brother!

I remember first meeting b2af when he showed up at CCDL with his giant TV and controller, and 2 prior games on his ladder record, and thinking how cool it was that this random dude was so enthusiastic about Descent that he'd drive several hours just to lose repeatedly to people he barely knew. I did not foresee his ascent to being one of the most active and most capable pilots on the entire ladder. His relentless positivity is something we could all stand to emulate.

Your dedication to mastering your controller has led you to be one of the most dangerously maneuverable pilots in the game's history. Your presence in-game is so forceful, and you can slip out of any mistake. I never look forward to playing you when it's on the line, because I have to show up ready to work!

--Morfod
B2, you have impressed so many of us with how you have mastered the controller. You get very good at this game....very late in the era. I wish you had done it sooner so you could have been part of the mix when there was so much action to be had. You are an excellent opponent and I have enjoyed our matches!!

--Jediluke
A fearsome D1 pilot, but super friendly, and a great 6DoF enthusiast! Sub-20 Sublevel Zero when? ;)

--roncli
The ultimate virtuoso dogfighter. The straight and serious. Nothing but honest hard work and uncompromising pursuit of excellence. You never complained about the losses. You never wavered in your commitment. You knew what you wanted and you went out and got it. You were the real deal.

You were another pilot who came along too late for me to fully enjoy. Our brief encounters, after you rose to greatness, when I was occasionally still playing, were beyond intriguing. I hope to play in the future. And looking over your time on the ladder, I can only say that your performance and approach were inspiring. Truly a Descenter to the core. Well done.

Once upon a time, during the season in 2016, when he was just making it into the silver tier, B2AF and I were of similar skill level and had a bit of a rivalry, but alas, that did not last very long. B2's tenacity and drive to better himself caused him to surpass me quite quickly and climb to Gold. I enjoyed our intense close games while they lasted, B2. You have become an incredible pilot. How you accomplished this with, what is it, an x_box controller,(?) still baffles me. Fly on. But you can quit it with the flares!! ;)
P.S. Remember this game? http://www.descentchampions.org/view_match.php?id=9367

Near unrivaled technician who climbed the ranks with a methodical vigor that i resent to this day. :) GG's

Although we have barely met in game and in Discord, it still feels almost like reading about top ace pilots in a classroom when names like yours come up, given how little we've interacted. People who left their own little, but nevertheless *remarkable* notes in history. I've heard of you during Roncli's Observatory broadcasts, but we did at least have one fight against each other then in said tournament, and I do recall you at one point trying to help me out with my own shortcomings in terms of control scheme and general flying skills. While I can't say I exactly remembered everything on what you tried to teach me, I still remember the lessons on a basic level *and* their importance, and it's something I appreciate.
