Windows 10

Right click / Display settings / Change the size of text, apps, and other items (100% Recommended) / Set to 125% / Start Descent / Resolution is messed up

I just installed Descent for the first time in months. I don't have a desk, chair, or monitor. I must sit on the floor and play on a coffee table with a TV. This requires me to have the text size at 125% to see it. This is the only game that I play where this has an effect thats not good.

Oh man. DLE has issues with that too. I once looked into what it would take to fix it, read the documentation on a bunch of the affected MFC controls, and came to the unfortunate realization that life was too short.

Hopefully D1/2x isn't quite so bad.

I knew I wasnt going to get any support for the 125% deal so I worked with what I had. Custom made floor desk. Now at least I can some what play Descent when the time comes.

We'd generally rather see bugs in the repository on GitHub. Drakona is super busy and a lot of these are beyond me, but having them there is useful. Most if not all of the issues we've talked about in one form or another on these forums end up there anyway.

Rebirth fixed this bug recently... I'll have to see what they did.

I had a horrible resolution glitch once... all i did was keep the main missions, profiles, etc and deleting the data and just replaced it with a clean file from someone's Dropbox... worked perfect for me, no damage was done

Revisiting this with a workaround: Right-click exe -> Properties -> Compatibility Tab -> Check Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.

I don't think I will be able to add Rebirth's fix to Retro without making some major changes to how Retro compiles.
