Cajun Country Lan write up
First off I want to thank everyone who donated to my gofundme, I really appreciate all the help you guys gave me and I cannot thank you enough.
This was my first lan ever. I played d3 for years but was always too young and broke to travel anywhere, which was a bummer considering I put in a lot of time and practice into d3. I was always curious how my "pocket dodging" or "micro movements" would affect my game on lan. Turns out, for me at least, everything feels the same except that the gameplay is cleaner. I don't roll my eyes because people drop shots or have to constantly spend energy trying to find out how many ship lengths to aim for. The exception to all this is the vulcan. I had an easy time leading with it since I didn't have to guess ship lengths. Looking back at it now I probably used it too much :p Mark saw this and took advantage of it. Anyways I had a great time meeting and playing everyone!
Drakona and Lothar - It was nice meeting and playing you two. You were both very down to earth.... which is exactly what I expected. Thanks for everything you do and have done for the community.
Roncli - It was nice meeting you half asleep and groggy :p And thanks for playing that game with me which was pretty rough. You said I play better when I fight, maybe have a purple or ugh game next time?
B2af - Argh. As soon as you showed up I left. At least we got a couple of games in before I did. It was good meeting you and props for being as good as you are with that controller.
Ladysilver - You're just as sweet in person as you are online.... maybe sweeter! Your boyfriend's crazy though.
Morfod - I love you.
Also i think I'm more mad that I missed out the ribs more than anything else.
Mark - That's one nice guy. It was fun meeting and talking to you. I've learned that I need to put a little more work into my strategy's rather then relying solely on talent.
Jedi - Thanks for hosting the lan, thanks for opening your home to me, thanks for giving me a place to sleep, and thanks for putting food in my stomach. Sorry I had to leave so early, next time I'll plan ahead so I can stay the entire lan and maybe beat you for once Thanks for everything.
ggs everyone!

Glad you had fun! If you've never LANed before, you learn a lot just by realizing how the game physics really work, and that first LAN is worth a lot. I remember being shocked what a spreadfire could do up close!

Thanks for the props!
I'm glad that I met you. Now I know the person who destroys me in the mines .
I look forward to seeing you later.
