It's impossible to fire 16 homing missiles at a time, so that takes care of that.

Good discussion! Okay -- let's call it with Fuzed in, Athena out. Site lists updated.

And man, I remember fighting with homing missiles in the middle of a cloud of homing missile powerups. I would believe a volley of 16. I like missiles a lot, and even I think Athena x4 is a bit much.

I missed my chance to weigh in on this earlier, and maybe it's too late - but I think it would be good to keep both Fuzed and Athena in. They each offer something notably distinct from the other eight.

From a metrics perspective, I think Fuzed is trending up while Athena is trending down, and given the small bump for already being in core, that means I favor Fuzed more.
From a competitive-player-opinion perspective, I'm less interested in whether the levels add something distinct than in whether they take us away from heavy angling. Fuzed is certainly a little lighter on missiles than other levels, smaller, and with less doors, but it still seems normal-ish to me. There's room for dogfighting, hit-and-run, pillar/cover tactics, misdirection, power weapons, finesse weapons, a little bit of missile boating... so if I drew Fuzed in a random game, I might think "dang, this plays a little toward the other pilot's strengths" or "this is a little better for me than a DKH map", but I wouldn't think "this is ridiculous, it should be a trophy match, not a neutral challenge." I feel the opposite about Athena -- it's tactically tilted toward a particular style that's really more appropriate for subgames and trophies than neutral-ground challenges.
