Who has micro stuttering / freezing?

I posted a potential workaround on GitHub today: https://github.com/CDarrow/DXX-Retro/issues/89 This fixes it for other games, and SO FAR it's been okay for me, but your mileage may vary, please let me know if this helps.

last game had one freeze in a ffa but short. still better than the 5 to 10-second freezes I had before.

Yeah it freezes still, but its WAY shorter now, like 1 1/15 seconds

It worked for a bit but the freezes are getting longer and happing more often. Going to retire till its fixed or overload comes out.
