It's Spring 2015!

Here are the changes with the new season:
Trophies
Trophies are now broken up by skill rating. There are gold, silver, and bronze versions of the fusion trophy, for example. You can no longer play a pilot of another class for a trophy, but you can bring a trophy out of retirement in your own class at any time. Just look for one that isn't in service (you can scan the trophy column on the main page to see what's already been claimed), play a match for it with someone, and if you win -- it's yours. All of the trophies are available now, including ones that had previously been retired, like the disorientation and blind trophies.
Trophies go back into retirement whenever the person holding them retires or is rank dropped, or if they aren't defended for 90 days. Also if the person holding them is promoted or demoted -- you've got to be bronze to hold a bronze trophy! But they're easy to get back out of retirement, without admin intervention.
New Trophy
We've created an trophy to recognize a widely played subgame. Blarget made us a very cool graphic, thank him!
Update to the core levels
Black Rose and Neptune are no longer on the core list. Flea has been added.
Added quotes
You can add a saying or quote to your profile, just below your featured match. See to see what it looks like; edit the 'quote' field on your own profile to add your own.
Made it a little easier to get rated
Normally you have to play 5 matches and 3 opponents to be rated, but for some pilots, this process is longer than makes sense. We've added two exceptions: if the ladder can tell you're going to be bronze, it can give you a rating as quickly as 2 matches. And if you previously played on DCL but lost your rating through inactivity, if it thinks you're going to get your old one back, it can give it to you as quickly as 2 matches.
If you're a new pilot heading for silver or above, you still need to go through the full five matches. I know that's a lot of games, but these things do last for months once you get them.
