About the 255 object limit:

Morfod and I hit it in Skybox x4, but that's Skybox x4. SpootyBiscuit actually uses this bug to his advantage to speedrun one of the larger D2 levels. Aside from that, it's not a common occurrence.

Were there any disconnects? A disconnecting pilot that doesn't send the "I'm leaving" packet basically swallows all of the weapons they had.

No disconnects. Just Wats and I flying around my really stupid map that natively has 20 smarts on x5 and playing until we both almost had 50 points. By that point in time smarts were actually scarce and you had to actually look for them. It was weird.

Lady Silver and I just played Mindtrix x5 and man oh man do those smarts start disappearing fast. There were already some gone by the 20 kill mark, and as we continued to play it ended up being around double the regular amount of smarts with a ton of homers.

The normal object limit I've seen (from DMB2, anyway) was 350. Don't know why they picked that number in particular.
