Spring 2015 Props
It's that time again: Props.
As you look back over the season, what stands out in your mind as cool? What did other pilots do that was just . . . extra awesome? This award can be given for almost anything. Great attitude, a cool stat, a great rivalry, a great home level, even an incredible match. Try to keep them for "above and beyond" kinda stuff, but beyond that, anything goes.
Anyone who played matches can nominate anyone ELSE for one of these. It needs a second to pass. If you're getting one and you feel it's lame, you can refuse it. If the admins think one is lame, they also might veto it (but I'm sure we're not going to need to do that . . . ).
They come with a title and description, and are displayed on your profile for the season. See (at the bottom of the page) for inspiration.

I'll start off with a couple.
I nominate Jediluke for
Epic Comeback
Jediluke pulled off what has to be the most epic comeback in the history of Descent. He was down 14-19, and managed to pull out the win in OT -- against no less a pilot than DJCJR!

Total Domination
For a completely unbelievable 112 game streak against gold. There are no words.
These need seconds to be awarded.

Summer of H8
Morfod set out to fight all the other Silver pilots, and did so, playing over 150 games Silver vs Silver
Heavy Boat
Lady Silver has embraced using apostrophe and the letter 'e', she also plays D1 a lot which seems pretty good for a D3 pilot and has settled on a great home level.
Extra Battery Packs
To Jediluke, for his propensity to have a second game with a significantly better score. I even got to be on the receiving end of this.
Sharing Knowledge
LotharBot answered lots of my questions, and taught me some insightful things that have been very helpful.
I will second both awards that Drakona posted. I remember reading the War Journal for Jediluke's comeback and DJCJR, it was quite the match. And Jediluke's amazing Gold streak is also pretty legendary. Such consistency much skill wow

Ah, fair enough. I just thought of a few things that I considered to be highlights of the brief time I've been playing. I don't mind if they're not entirely awesome enough

Award: AOD_H8
Alternate Titles: GR8 H8, M8! -or- The Escape Job
Recipient: AOD_Hi
Accomplishment: AOD_Hi and Morfod engaged in a nasty series of 36 games, a quarter of which went into overtime, and over half decided by three points or less. The average score was 20-19. AOD_Hi won two-thirds of the matches.
Award: Even the Gods Can Bleed
Recipient: DKH
Accomplishment: DKH handed Mark392 his first loss of the season in a stupendous fashion, beating him 20-14 in Lurk in front of a crowd at the 20th Anniversary LAN tournament.
It's very hard to find unique accomplishments for pilots from whom we've come to always expect greatness!

Good picks, Morf!
Lotharbot was talking about wanting to nominate DKH for the same thing, but with a different title. Something like, "Still the Assassin", since his schtick season 1 was that no one, no matter who they were, was safe from him. It's still true, apparently.
I nominate Entropy for --
Prodigy
Entropy learned the game incredibly fast, going playing his first game ever to making silver in the space of less than six months!
