Re: Retired
I was under the impression that PFunk had embraced the "sloth" nickname, and telling slow jokes was all part of the experience of a PFunk game, and that it was considered "all in good fun".
If that's not cool, speak up loud and clear, so we all know!

It wasn't the slow jokes, it was the directions the slow jokes went in. I'm pretty sure no one wants to be "joked" about for 20-30 minutes non-stop. I WAS the joke in the room and regardless of what anyone says, it's not funny after a point.
"PFunk is so slow, he lost" -- What's the joke here, Lotharbot? Or should I say, WHO is the joke here? The person to make this comment apologized and I forgave him because I don't think any of it was meant with malice intent, but after a while, it can be too much. I didn't want to even mention it, that's why I removed my other post and left it as this because I hold the other pilot in high respect. However, I have to put it into context and for this, let me tell the other pilot I'm sorry for even mentioning it here.
I admit, I fly 1x speed. I don't tri-cord.
I admit, past Observatory when being broadcasts, I did not play MY GAME, I played a much faster game outside my comfort zone because ...
I admit, I am not entertaining to watch when I play the game, my way.
I admit, This was my first mega x4 level EVER! This was my first mega level since joining the DCL and probably since leaving the Rangers around 1998 where I played D2.
I admit, I was very cautious because I wanted Jedi in Wrath X4! That's my jam!
I admit, the 4 of my 6 matches in the tournament were blind(mega x4 included) and frustrating.
I admit, I watched the match and read the comments MULTIPLE times.
I admit, It hurt.
I don't mind the Sloth name. It doesn't bother me. What bothered me about the whole thing is that I was turned into the Joke! As Jedi would say, "That's BS!" and no place in the Descent Community as small as it is.

Also, to be fair, the sloth of the tournament was freaking Cyrus. Goodness, 12 minutes to register a point that stuck in his game against Sirius.

I am never not impressed by Morfod's... creativity, but it probably reads better in a forum post. Maybe with an editor selecting the "greatest hits" that are unequivocally funny.
I kind of lost it when I read his Merl thread a couple years back.
