Config - D2
I recently installed D2 again, and for the moment I am now playing on mouse I've found it hard to find an appropriate config - especially for afterburners.
I have a pretty typical (I think) config.
w - forward
s - reverse
a - slide left
d - slide right
left shift - slide up
space - slide down
side mouse buttons 3/4 - bank l/r
I feel that my keyboard hand is very inefficient, 4 out of the 5 fingers don't move and only ever hit the same key. I've tried using capslock or left ctrl as afterburners but this hasn't felt very comfortable or effective.
Sorry im sure this has come up several times before, but would be curious to see what most people are doing these days now mouse seems to be steadily taking over.

I just use left or right click on my mouse for afterburners. Other than that my setup is the same as D1 to make it easier to transition over to D2.
Many peoples D1 setups and you can just find a spot for the afterburner that you feel works for you. Test, test, test!

I use LShift for afterburners, then my thumb goes between slide-down (alt) and slide-up (space). Q and E are banking controls, and the mouse is turning axes and weapon control only. Hope this helps!

buy the Logitech G700s and get 4 extra buttons on the side of the mouse that you can assign to whatever ya like.

or you could try this much cheaper mouse with extra side buttons

Assman, thanks for that was a really interesting read! Some people have wacky configs! I must've missed it when i was back in Australia.
Maestro, i quite like that concept - i'll test it!
wait Jedi, do you use the G700s? So do you mean you use a WIRELESS mouse?!?!

I use it WIRED. You can choose to go wireless or wired.

Also, according to that thread ernie posted, Cyrus can't slide up or down if he's sliding right. Whatta maroon!
