Re: Sportsmanship
Oh and sorry. I honestly don't participate on this ladder 100% because of you. I could blame roncli for some misinterpreted bullshit of logs from the server I paid for that everyone uses for a year, but I don't. Or how roncli wanted me not to be allowed back into the ladder for whatever reason? Boo'D out for new people like I'm toxic. No. Not at all. I don't play on this because you, LOTHAR, and Drakona (hate putting you in here) all think I'm some kind of deterrent for new players. You... You are the reason people don't like this ladder. Your iron fist is bullshit and no one needs to take it. I choose not too. So your "ffa" comment stands. I live ffa and I love 1-1. I check Rangers website before I look for a 1-1 only so I see you in the afk channel. That's how toxic I think you are. And if you want to take a poll, again, we can. I read all match comments. I see what people retire for etc. But stop painting me as a villain because I am cordial in defeat and in victory. You still have the 9 year old when you were trying to lose your virginity (yeah maybe not the best way to come at you but I don't care anymore) against me. I grew up in the Internet. I am sorry I was a child playing with half grown men. But as of now. You delete posts that have 3 letters on another persons post that tells you to out it in your butt? Come on man. Reversed roles. I apologize for playing spud wasted off my ass. But this ladder needs to let it go. I reported. I didn't do anything wrong. Get over it. And Ron. I never once heard one ill thing from you. We were always buds. We played more off the ladder than on. For you to try and paint that picture of me is extremely disrespectful. All you had to do was ask. I would've told you exactly what I just said and what most people on the ladder that's left believe. I'll do ranger games if I ever have time or the right opportunity but the idea of unretiring and having you come in the channel and demand a game Dave makes Me not want to play descent. And I love descent. Just ask swarthy (who is becoming a powerhouse). If you really want to work this out pm me on here and I'll give you my number *wink*

Sent from iPhone. Spell correct sucks ever if I'm watching what it says. Sorry it's not grammatically correct. I'm sure I'll get judge by some Einstein.

Ok, ya done? Good. Let's go...
Firstly, you probably don't know much about me, but I ran something called the D3TL back in the day for a few years. Descent 3 Teams League. Hundreds of pilots on dozens of teams. Way bigger than the DCL is, and probably ever will be. Quite simply, bash started something great, decided to stop working on it, and I took over. And man what a wild few years it was. I read stuff far worse than this, and even worse than what Lee put up a couple months ago. Point is, I'm pretty unfazed by posts like this.
So, let's start from the beginning between us. Straight up, your mumble rant was *correctly* forwarded to the admins here. Call it tattle tailing or what not, but the fact is I didn't know you at the time (still don't, really), and there were about 6 other people in the channel, including one brand new pilot that quite frankly didn't need to hear whatever laundry you and Souljah wanted to air. The fact that nothing was done about it kinda rubbed me the wrong way at the time, but now I see that probably was the correct decision. It's simple: your rant did not belong where it was being held, and you should be more ashamed to have made it than I should be ashamed of having done anything about it. Get that s*** out of here.
We did play a lot, and believe it or not it was more ON the ladder than it was off.
On one hand I liked playing you, because you're decidedly better than me but not to a degree where I can't learn anything from you. I do not disagree with your claims that you are cordial in matches, and I've never witnessed you talk poorly about anything before, during, or after matches. That is WAY better than some people can say here.
On the other hand I didn't like playing you so much, and these are more personal reasons, that I didn't really have a lot of *fun* playing you. Pilots I enjoy playing.... Morfod, Lady Silver, PFunk, Swarthy, and even some less-common opponents of mine including Lee, Kaiyena, Blarget, and melvin... and MANY others... I feel a connection with these pilots when I play them that makes the game fun for me. I did not feel that way playing you.
So having to play so many games with you, and then multiple games in a row, wasn't really working for me. I played them because this is a competitive ladder and I felt I had an obligation to do so. I would do it again if you chose to rejoin and play.
Regarding Jediluke, I personally have nothing against him. However, he has some of the worst sportsmanship of anyone on this ladder. I don't think he'd deny this claim. I'm not sure how he's able to constantly have blowups, and then come back a week later like nothing happened. I don't like the Jedi that makes the comments he does about connections and the rants he goes on when he loses to them. It sometimes bothers me that someone of his accolade and status is continued to be allowed his status. Thus, I don't think you're wrong to have reservations about him holding the position he does.
However, I've gone into Jedi's attitude in past posts, about how he's direct and to the point, lets you know how he's feeling the instant he feels it and what not, and that is why I still hold a ton of respect for him. I've said all this stuff about Jedi before, and I don't particularly feel he's using his "iron fist" for anything. He might get angry at his matches and opponents, but when it comes to the administration of this ladder he's been perfectly fair. He cares about competition on this ladder because this is the only place left you can GET competition in this 22-year old game. Therefore, someone competitive like him probably needs to be helping to drive things.
You aren't really the up-front and to the point kind of guy. You let things simmer and boil, and every once in a while you feel the need to come back here and stir the pot when there's something else going on. And occasionally you make some really, REALLY bad judgment calls. Enough to be worth banning from the ladder? Probably not, but perhaps with a cast of admins who didn't care about the community as much as the three you are chastising do, you probably would be banned by now.
It's probably far too late to convince you of otherwise, but the admins here don't have anything against you. That is, until you decide to come in and, well, do this. Make that snide comment in a drama-filled post. Rant about how you were treated unfairly. Complain that people are casting you out to be the bad guy. You're really not, but you really make it hard to be friendly with you when you do stuff like this. I think most of us would be happy to press the reset button with you, and have you as an active part of the ladder and community again. (PS: While we're airing laundry, hey Ernie, take notes on this paragraph. This applies to you, too. Not the whole post, though... I had fun playing you.)
BTW, do you know why we have promotion challenges? No? Remember how you felt getting into gold? Jedi, Lothar, and Drakona all agreed that what you felt was unfair to you, and that you should have a chance to be ready to prove you belong. No one just gets thrown into gold anymore because we had a pilot that felt uncomfortable being gold and was uncertain he belonged. That pilot was YOU, and let me tell you something, these challenges are the best thing to come to this ladder since I've been a part of it.

First of all. Blah blah blah. Then, I am treated unfairly considering the whole point of this is the fact I get posts deleted. End of story. After that, the promotion challenge was basically because they didn't think I was gold. Be honest now bud. And where in the f does whether you like playing me or not come into any part of this? Because I said we have played together? I'm confused. I'm pretty sure me being honest and forward is WHY I get treated like that. So your personal issues can blow me honestly. You obviously have it out for me, so that's about it for you Boy Scout. Twist and turn all you want these words. Your post is a bunch of garbage and if you think I should be banned for my post, read yours. I don't even want to take the time to write a book on yours. I did enjoy watching the YouTube vids of our games though. Love your commentary.
